Just a simple question. What do you guys use in screening your future renters? Such as place of work, where they are living, etc. Is there one one the web you can download or is there a store that might sell them?
Thanks

Check out Landlord.com. It provides access to numerous free forms, including rental applications and tenant screening services.

Mark,
First, you need to find a place to run the potential tenants credit, and other information.
When you find one, chances are that they have an application form they’ll give you.
I joined NTN some time back and they sent me a form.
I took that form and made a few changes to suit my needs, and now have my own.
Check the archives here as well, I seem to recall someone posting their app. online here a while ago.

And, do a web search, surely there are some out there.
Maybe mrlandlord.com has one on his site?

Good luck,
Jim FL

Mark,
there are plenty of rental applications around, I’ve used the one fron the book Landlording by Leigh Robinson. Most other books on rentals also will have an application form, as will local board of realtors, real estate offices, credit bureaus, apartment complexes, etc. Besides the application and checking that information I’d also recommend that a credit check be done.
