The cracks in the wall that run with the length of the wall should be checked closely by some one who knows foundations. It could be nothing, but I do know that’s a sign of foundation problems. Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK.

Located a 2/1 single family. The only problem I see is in the basement. Two walls are cracked (approx. 1/8" or smaller) running the length of the walls. No smell of mildew, but I did detect a foul odor of “something”. Maybe a housekeeping problem. I can get this home well below market value and plan to use as a rental or L/O. Home would have positive mthly cash flow with a few minor updates and would be completely paid for in 5 years.

Because of the cracks in the foundation/basement is this something I should pass on, or is this not a major issue.

By the way, for everyone who responded to ‘To Bail or Not to Bail’ regarding my first multi-unit scheduled to be demolished…I bailed!!
