Frame is wood. Most houses are frame houses, just some have a brick veneer. They are perfectly safe except in a tornado, but then, even brick won’t save your butt in one of those. Ask me how I know.

I have never invested in real estate before and want to purchase a duplex to rent. The real estate agent showed me a duplex constructed of “frame” not brick. Is frame safe or should I wait for a brick duplex? Any pointers for me would be most appreciated.

I am more concerned about cash flow and purchase price.

How well will it cashflow?
Are you buying below market value?
What is your exit stratagie(s)?
What is your long term plans?
