For those who missed the free toll-free no. train before ureach.com changed and messagetalk.com folded…

Onebox.com has dropped providing new numbers with local area codes, and is now just offering 866 numbers for its free unified messaging service. All numbers still come with the four digit extension.

Efax.com has been in business the longest of all the free voicemail, fax services.

FREE is an ingredient for disaster. Don’t use free services they might not in business tomorrow.

Quite a few people I know use onebox, including myself, for business and personal reasons alike, and are quite happy with the service.

I found out about the switch to 866 when I set up an account for a relative yesterday. So they were still accepting new accounts as of that point.
