Are there large funding sources that I can go to to get access to more capital? How do they typically collateralize their interest? I AM NOT looking to broker these notes.

If there is enough equity in the property behind your position, you can sometimes create a loan against the loan you are purchasing. It is called hypothecation. Trickly, but doable. You will have to find am investor who will lend you against the note you are buying as collateral for the investor and it takes a savvy investor to consider such a position.
