I would like to know if anyone can refer me to a book, article or information source on how to get government financing. I am looking for money to purchase homes. Any advice would be great !

The answers you seek may be as close as your nearest mortgage broker. A good mortgage broker should be able to help you find a loan program that meets your investment criteria and fits your financial situation.

As I understand it, the Government does not provide financing to purchase a home. The Government instead tells conventional lenders that it will guarantee the loans for certain classes of people who meet qualifying criteria. The funds for these so-called “Government loans” really come from private investors.
