Great advice. Better to go with a company like Nationwide Real Estate out of Fort Meyers Florida which will train, consult, partner, and split big profits with new real estate investors.

I am interested in making hard money loans. Is there a book or course available on how to proceed. I heard Ron Legrand
may have something but don’t know the name of it.

“Smart Trust Deed Investment in California” by George Coats. You will of course have to modify the text to fit your State laws. I would try amazon.com, or one of the other online book resellers.

Having made hard money loans for years and about to get out of my last one , I do not recommend the head aches. You are far better off creating your own notes with better yields and less aggravation. PS If you are in N.J. I believe you must close through a mortgage banker. Good luck!
