I am trying to find out what I need to do in order to buy and sell used mobile homes in Florida. I was only able to get a little information from the DMV website. I called and requested some information, but the information they sent was not very specific. From what I can gather I only need a broker’s license (as opposed to a dealer’s license) since I’ll only be dealing in used mobile homes.
All of the requirements I have found talk about having an approved location for your lot. Do these requirements only apply to new mobile home dealers? If I’m only buying used mobile homes and leaving them on the lots, I should be able to operate out of my home, right?
I have read “Deals on Wheels” and have gone through Lonnie’s audio course. I am extremely excited and ready to start doing deals, but I want to make sure I am properly licensed first. If anyone has gone through the licensing process in Florida I would greatly appreciate any assistance you could give me.
