They still need to be evicted. But the eviction will be a lot quicker than normal which is basically automatically ordered by the court. If the home just sold at auction then they should be OK if they are out within 3 weeks. They have 30 days after the confirmation of the sale.
Did someone buy the home or did it go back to the lender?
Hi… The lender foreclosed on my parents Illinois home, and, last week, it was auctioned off to the highest bidder… However, they are still in the process of physically moving from the home… They are wondering if there is an eviction process the new owner must go through, or is it possible that they will come home one night to find new locks on the doors or furniture on the street… They plan to be out of the home in about 3 weeks… Any help would be appreciated… Thanks… DJ
