Hi Alan, I have no Chicago experience, but when I wanted to find out the same stuff in Atlanta I just talked to the city inspector/department that condemned and demolished stuff and they were VERY GLAD to educate me on the laws/time limits/ etc, since I was fixing their problem!!

Why don’t you talk to folks at Chicago Condemnation Department.

the house that i am looking at the agent said is in condem court.i would like to put the house under contract and wholesale for a quick profit.my worry is the house is in condem court.what i don’t know is how much time i have or,what can happen when i take procession of house.the house is in chicago and i am not sure what laws my apply.appreiate any help given.thank you very much.
