Just call or send a certified letter stating that you have seen the property vacant for XX months and you were interested in leasing or purchasing the property… the reason you want to leave the lease option is to get the conversation… They may have intentions of passing it to a relative or renting for profit. Be sure to warm to them and find out their intents with the property…

I have found a vacant house in a nice town surrounded by nice houses. The owners mailing address is out of town according to the tax assessment info. What is the best way to approach this owner. Find out his number and call him? Maybe he will think I am a snoop. Send him a letter? What is the best wording? Has anyone found any courses dealing with this first crucial step in contact?
