Thanks. Financial health is much more important to me than looking good to others. (Being in poor financial shape doesn’t look so good either, does it?. I can probably sell this house for a profit and move on.

I bought my house a year ago. Being the optimist that I am I expected my business to expand. It hasn’t done as well as I thought and I’ve had to continually dip into my saving to stay here. What are my choices? I don’t have to stay here but it is a nice place.

What is your goal? To deal effectively with a financial matter? Or is it to look good to others (“save face”)? If I were you I would take care of finances. Sometimes cutting your loses is the best way to “save face.” Look objectively and reasonably at your situation and make it work.

Look for another house to buy, and rent out. The house needs to have a positive cash flow. Feed the positive cash flow into the house you now have. This should help.
