How do you find out about the foreclosures in your area?? Are they listed through your local city hall or through the local banks?? Are these listings available to anyone?? I have come across some through a local real estate agent but I am wondering if I can find out the amount that is actually owed on the mortgage— he of course only gives us the price he has it listed for.

  1. They are advertized in local newspapers. Got to your library and check each page of every newspaper.

  2. A listing service / clipping service. try a net search for names

  3. the courthouse itself.
