I moved a 16 X64 approximately 25 miles and paid about $1000 for the move. I was told that is about how much it costs to move a trailer even if you move it one block. Anyway, I got a bad deal by my landlord. I let him set it up when the movers left. Set up means hooking up to electricity and sewage. I paid way too much. Approximately $400. I could have gotten it cheaper.

I have a lead on two sites where mobile homes have been removed. There are septic tanks, wells , electric service ect. What can I expect to pay to have a mobile home moved and set up? I assume there is one charge per loaded mile and another for the set up. I live in southwest Ohio. Thanks.

We are paying approx $1800 in Oklahoma for breakdown, moving and setup - approx 50 - 75 miles. This was a flat fee from one mover.
Another mover broke it down to be $2.25 per mile and approx $525 for set up and the other costs depend on where it is when he picks it up, (sales lot, private land, MHP, etc) and how difficlust it is to get out. Plus there can be extra charges for escort, etc.
