How to purchase property for development

I’m looking to purchase 2 houses and then 2 vacant lots all on the same street. I don’t want my purchases to look like a developer purchase. Is there a best way to buy property NOT IN MY NAME? I’m thinking of a LLC or using a agent with an assignment clause in money with an escrow firm? Reasons why or why not would be helpful.

Sure, you can buy the properties under separate entities to make them appear like two unrelated purchases.

This tactic was used successfully by Disney in the land assembly for Disneyworld in Florida.
