HUD extended list - Posted by Jetsmith (FL)

Same in Florida. The properties generally come out first as owner occ. If they don’t get picked up, after a few bid periods, they go ‘investor OK’… but still with a bid opening date.
I am not sure if the extended list is the properties which have hung out on the list so long they don’t care or if they are deals that have fallen through and are back on the list. Doesn’t matter. They may be ripe for the picking.

When a HUD becomes extended, what does that mean and how long does it remain extended? What are the opportunities to getting a HUD during this period (if any)? Thanks in advanced for any info.

Extended means it’s open to investors or non-occupied owners. Bids are opened daily. Anyway that’s the way it is in Michigan.

Good Luck!
