Dave,

HUD does not allow assignments of the contract. No reason why you can’t line an end user up before hand and close with HUD then close ten minutes later with your buyer.

Hello,

I’ve started a potentially good relationship with a Realtor who focuses on REO’s and HUDs. I’ve tentatively got my first HUD junker under contract, and while I can handle the rehab to completion and sale, I’m interested if I can assign the contract to another investor before my closing date or I would have to do a simultaneous closing or if neither of those options are allowed by HUD.

Would appreciate any all who’ve done this or similar to comment.
