Start out at the HUD and VA web sites. They will direct you to property sales sites where rules, procedures and available properties are posted.

I am relatively new to real estate investing, but was hoping someone could tell me how the purchase homes auctioned off by HUD, VA and other agencies. Do they hold these auctions at a specific site? Can I bid or do I need a realitor? What about repair allowances? How do I know how much they will allow for repairs? Am I able to assume FHA or VA loans? How can I tell which real estate listings are HUD or VA properties in realitor magazines? Thanks for all the answers and thanks for the great site!!!
