Well JD… you’re right? Don’t know what’s up with that, because there were some very good ones running here over the past year or so? Can’t imagine where they went??? But, I did find a load still up, simply typing in the word “hypothecation”. Didn’t have a chance to reread any of them, but some should surely include the answers to this inquiry here. Too bad not all of them can be found, but you should find quite a bit still here, that should cover the ground you want to cover.

The answers to both your questions here, lie in accessing the “search” link at the top of this forum!
There, you can access the archives - which include a great deal of previous discussion related to “hypothecation”, “hypothecating notes”, “borrowing to buy notes”, etc. Using those terms as your keywords, you should be able to pull up our many previous discussions related to borrowing to buy notes, or otherwise using notes as collateral for loans.
