I need a piece of land for my home. I’ve searched listings and had no success. Someone, on this forum, suggested I check tax records and send out postcards - My question:
When I find taxes in arrears, what do I do with them? I know you can pay the taxes and within a few years, if the owner doesn’t pay you back, you take title. What else can I do though?
Should I offer to “take their land off their hands” by purchasing it? At what kind of price? Well below market? Or what? What about the taxes due? Would I also pay those?
