ingress/egress...OK? Or flagpole lots - Posted by Philip

Tim,
Funny thing, I just got back from the close on this land, and there has been a “road right” taken half from my land and half from the neighbor, from one side of the property, and there is a little lane there.
This “road right” is by the county, and so it will service the back lots.
I guess this solves my problem.
Thanks for the reply.

Would you folks use flagpole lots or a legal ingress/egress in the contract…to provide a drive for people whose land wont be toucing the road?

I am a little snug for room on land I bought.

I was intrigued by “flagpole lots”, and looked it up in the archives.

Around here people really seem to prefer flag lots, so they don’t have any hassles with the neighbors about whose turn it is to pay for driveway maintenance. If you are really tight for space an easement would be the way to go. Can you make one easement serve all of your back lots?

I read the archives, but never came across that one. Thanks
My wife is going to see this for the first time tonight…weeds, junk, old mobile and all.

She will probably think…“I took off work to sign for this?!”???

Of all things, I bought it from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York?..what is up with that?
