I have a question about installing a light fixture in a room that’s not already set up for one. I’ve seen some posts that say you can use a “swag kit” to avoid having to run wire through the walls. But what I’m wondering is how to mount the light fixture itself. Would you remove a piece of the ceiling and attach a box to one to the 2x4s?
