Eric,

There can be a huge difference between these entities when it comes to real estate investing. Many times my clients want a one size fits all structure but that is impossilbe because everyone is different. I typically recommend the use of a corporation and an LLC (possible multiple LLCs) or limited partnership. My advice is always do it right the first time and keep it as simple as possible. I have set up hundreds of these strutures and this philosphy has served my clients well for many years.

Very truly yours,

I am starting to invest in residential real estate for rental purposes in NYS and was wondering what the best way to organize would be (S-Corp, Corp, LLC, LLP, LP, partnership, etc.). Are there tax benefits or other benefits to any? Thanks for your help.
