Been hearing that the unusual wheather (warmth) is having impact on certain industries, construction and building has increased because of mild winter and warmer temperatures, this could have effect on the cost of supplies,(more demand) just a thought

For all the rehabbers, Have you had a serious increase in contracting estimates lately? Even the “smaller” operators are hardly what I would consider reasonable. Today for example, I was quoted 105-110 bucks a sq/ft for a whole house refurb, which equates to about 160 dollars U.S. Could y’all give some feedback re your town?

You can build from the ground up for less than half of that. Why bother.

Yes, the costs of my renovations have been going up. Subcontractors are not willing to work for what they would six months ago. They aren’t dealing as much and just have the attitude that they don’t have to do it. There is plenty of other work out there and the people are willing to pay.
