You’re asking the wrong people. We can’t know without seeing the documents and chain of title.

Check with the title insurance officer who will be handling this matter.

Very rarely do I value what most real estate agents tell me about the condition of title as to a certain property.

When my Mother was in the hospital she asked me to secure the house that my brother was living in. She had not gotten around to placing the title into the trust for which I am the trustee. I, at the time, had P.O.A. so I went to the assessor and put the title in trust with my brother as beneficiary and myself as trustee. The tax colector has sent a reevaluation tax bill/statement which shows that there has been a change in ownership. The property is in foreclosure, I have a buyer, yet the escrow agent is saying that no one can be both Grantor and Grantee thus title is clouded. Is this so?
