Just Found a Vacant House - How Do I Find Owner? - Posted by Jamie

they do call it stalking these days. Here in Pennsylvania they have shut down the Motor Vehicle Dept unless you have a lawsuit and a court order. We used to use DMV extensively to locate property owners since most people have either a drivers licence or a car. Once we even located a property owner who had a non-drivers photo ID. But no more.

Also many of the Voter registrations are also shut down. And the Post Office has tightened up also in the name of anti stalking.

Hi everyone,

I just found a vacant house. I would like to lease option it, but, how do you I find the Owner to present him/her my offer? Is there a quicker way to find out who the owner is on the Internet or do I need to go to the Court House?

Thank you.

To start I would do 2 things. 1) Put a flyer on the front door of the house 2) Check the tax rolls and find out where the bills are getting sent.

And of course read Joe Kaiser’s article listed below.
