L/O’s or Flips? - Posted by LGMay

I am very interested in REI and have read most everything on this site. My question is: L/O or Flipping, which is the best place for a newby to start?
Pros and Cons?

Thanks in advance!

depends on a number of factors. how much cash outlay you’ll have in the property, how much you need cash now, what condition the property’s in and what the market’s like.
If you’re just getting started with a loan from the bank, you may want to fix the property up and resale it, if the comps. are favorable to doing so. this way you can build up your cash. If you don’t have to put much into the property, then the long-term aspects of a lease option are nice. all depends on how much money you have and if you’re thinking now or long-term.
good luck
