I will be closing (hopefully) on my first rehab deal in a month and am in the Orlando area. Will you e-mail me your carpet guy’s name and phone #? Any other contractors/handymen that you like and trust (and do a great job of course) would be useful as well. Thanks in advance.

What is everybody out there paying for having carpet laid?

I was recently charged $400 for a 1600 heated sq. foot house and shortly before that it was $280 for a 1200 hsf house.

What is everybody out there paying for having carpet laid?

Thanks,
Chris

I pay $3.00 a square yard plus $1.00 per stair. But this is if I remove the old carpet and all furniture.
I can usually buy mid grade Berber carpet for $2.75 a square yard (I work for a carpet manufacturer) so it costs me more in labor than materials
