It’s a contract for sale.
If you buy a property on a LC you don’t get the deed (held by seller)therefore you will have nothing to secure the 2nd with.

Is a land contract actually a sale or is it a contract for sale? My reasoning is, If I buy a house via Land contract can I take out a second on the house?

(Yes, this does have to do with the crazy foreclosure mentioned in another post.)
