You’ll need to convey title into the trust (grant deed, warranty deed etc.) Any other documents depend on which State (i.e.trust certification; some states want it up front and others when you sell) and which “trust guru” you are following.

Besides the land trust itself, does anyone know what other documents or forms must be filled out when forming a land trust? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  1. A Transfer Document such as a Warranty or Quit Claim Deed to deed the title to the Trustee, not the Trust.

  2. The Trust Document itself

  3. An Assignment of Beneficial Interest

  4. A Beneficiary Agreement

  5. Declaration of Unisured Deed

  6. Notification of Address Change for the Lender

  7. Notification of Address Change for the Insurer

  8. Possibly… a Use and Occupancy Agreement

  9. maybe an addendum or two
