Anyone out there know how I could structure a lease option on a multiple unit dwelling that needs gobs of work, and I would like to be in control of the units while I am renovating them… is this a pipe dream? Thanks

You could have the owner put the title into a land trust. You then have the option of purchasing portions of the benficial interest at different points in time or as you finish one unit. Exactly how you write it up would depend on how many units, financing etc.
