All HUD homes are SOLD via auctions. These auctions are either public auctions with people calling out bids or silent auctions with the bid opening on a certain day. I have never heard of HUD doing anything but selling homes outright. So I am very sure that they will not sell it to you on a lease option. I am a HUD registered RE broker.

Is it possible to arrange a Lease Option or an option to purchase with a HUD home. I found one that is vacant in an excellent neighborhood. Needs some TLC (maybe quite a bit) but the neighborhood would difinitely suppport it. I am currently developing a spec. home and so my capital is all tied up. I know this house is a great find and would like to secure a contract and flip it but am not familiar with HUD.
I appreciate any insights.
