Thx for the advice. My goal is to sell it and would prefer to use an agent in that situation, but am considering long term appreciation and L/O, therefore the questions. Thx again!

I’m in process of rehabbing a house and considering using RE agents when I retail. But am thinking of possibly L/O property. Questions:

  1. Will RE agents work with L/O situations?
  2. If so, can someone please explain how RE agent is paid? - from NROC or back end profit or both?
  3. Please provide any helpful tips, questions to ask RE agent, or any advice why I should or should not use a RE agent when L/O property.
    Thx!

Use a RE agent AND market it your self. - Posted by Randy

With a L/O I don?t understand why you would want to use an agent, just to give up 6% of your profit. Generally the agent gets paid on the front end out of your option consideration, but everything is negotiable (up front when you list it). I have listed property with the agent agreeing up front if the property is sold by me not to a client brought in by the RE agent their compensation for the deal is $500.
