Curtis: If you are doing your first deal you may want to have a lawyer on your team to help you through it. Boiler plate forms are just that. They may not cover your specific situation. Once you have been through a few deals, and understand what the boiler plate verbiage means, then some forms may help. But it is best to have a team help you through the learning process, and an attorney is a good team member to have. That’s my opinion. Garrett

Hi Everyone,

I new here, i have been reading this site for about 2 months now. I havent made a deal or even an offer yet. My question is: what kinds of legal forms should I have at my disposal when i start? Do i need a lawyer to draft these or would it be prudent to use boiler plate forms?
