Yep, in my non-lawyer opinion, you shouldn’t have a problem.

Legal or Not? - Posted by Terry

I have a company name ready to go as soon as I score my 1st deal (Hopefully soon) I have my business cards all printed up with my logo on it, the whole 9 yards!
Can I legally use this name and logo without first incorporating?
If not can I legally hand out my cards without incorporating?
Did I mess up before I even got started?
I hope not, cause I paid almost $150.00 for these cards and I want to be legal.

Sure, you can legally call yourself anything you want…as long as you’re not infringing on a trademarked name or the name of an established business.
Remember though, that if you’re operating as a dba (doing business as) you are a sole proprietor until you have the appropriate corporate entity set up. And I am assuming your business cards don’t include “Inc” or “LLC” or anything else, which you’re not.

My name is not the name of any established business nor is it infringing on a trademarked name. (that I am aware of anyway) Not in my State it’s not.
I am sole proprirtor, and no, my cards do not include LLC or Inc.
Sounds like I’m ok then huh?
