Lesson 1…talk about what you do… - Posted by John (Rome)

and they will come…today I went to talk with a mortgage broker about an eventual refi on one of my homes and as a side note ask if they’d be interested in more business as I was an investor that “helped people buy their first home” …well guess what…after a brief explanation of who my target buyers were…she perked up and said what properties do you have available in this area and this size? …because SHE wants to get a home but not having worked long enough (she’s a sales rep) SHE doesn’t qualify!
so…talk about what you do…not incessantly and in a timely manner…but do so nonetheless…never know who can knock on your door crying for help…
btw…second prospective t/b’er since sunday…and by word of mouth alone…

Sounds like a real winner. A mortgage broker who can’t figure out how to get herself to qualify for a loan. Better listen to her advice. LOL
