Dexter, here in Florida, if you do not record the title within 30 days there is a small fine. That is if you are a dealer and not an individual. I would double check this with an attorney or talk to some buy here pay here guys and see if they know.

I have a deadbeat who filed bankruptcy a while back right after he bought my MH on a typical Lonny deal. I am the lienholder. I never signed for any court documents saying this home was involved in the bankruptcy. Mr. Deadbeat continued to pay me my usual payments for about a year. Now he does not want to pay and says a judge and an attorney told him he did not have to pay me because I took more than 20 days to file the title at BMV with my name as lienholder? Anyone heard of this? If this is BS I will have to go the replevin route since it sounds like he is consulting.
