I am going to start a LLC. My attorney is working on it and I need help on picking a name. Everyone I try has been used from someone. Is there a website that will help me find a name.

Yes, the Secretary of State in Georgia has a website, and you can try different names there without involving your attorney. The site address is :

Here the registry is the Sec. of State. A phone call can get you 3 tries. More tries and you need to call back. Pick a name that means something to you or is a local name. Since we’re David’s, maybe Goliath Construction, might be a good name.?

In my state the Secretary of State’s Office handles registering the LLC’s. They have a computer right at the front desk where you can run a name to see if it has been taken or not. I can also do this search from my home computer off of their website.

Use your imagination on a name. I’m sure you’ll come up with a good one.
