Get a copy of both mortgages,if you do not already have them? The wording of the mortgages will tell you if there is an early payoff penalty. Act accordingly.

I bought a house in Aug of 2002. I have 2 loans on this house and I want to refinance to lower my mortgage and do a 1 loan instead of two. Can I refinance now? I was told that I need to pay a fine if I refinance early. Please advice me. Thanks.
