It seems that Fl is relatively easy on the owner, tougher on the tenant. I’ve heard its partly because of the apartment syndicates pressuring Tallahasee to make it easier to deal with the large transient population they feel cause most tenant problems. Don’t know if its true…

Can anybody give me some insight into which states have state laws which are balanced in terms of rights allotted to both tenant and landlord. I know that MA in particular is heavily weighted on the side of the tenant. In particular I am interested in the states of CT, NH, RI, VA, MD, FL.
