Where might I find information on sizing up and maintaining control on notes which are out-of-state, or out-of-country in my case?

I highly recommend NOT investing in notes outside your local area. The process of due-diligence is pretty much the same, but your risks are higher and the rewards are less.

Sorry, don’t know a whole lot about the Canadian market. You may want to contact Charles Furnivall. Not sure of his email, address or phone. He used to be SES funding in eastern Canada, not sure if that is still the name he goes by.
