Hi Andy,
I have been doing Lonnie deals in the San Diego area. So yes the Lonnie Method does work out here in the sunshine. DMV? No, In CA all Mobile Homes data (registered etc) are handled through HCD (Housing and Community Development). It is our branch of state government which handles all of that. You can download forms and such here:

I have found Mobile Homes to be a very nice investment vehicle. Give me an email sometime, or try to catch me in the chatroom, and we could discuss your market etc.

Has anyone ever bought a cheapo ($2500) MH in SoCal. I’d appreciate any details or whatever info you might have. What are the tax liabilities? Do you need to register as a dealer with DMV. In short…what are the ABC’s. Your imput, as always is a great help. This area of investing seems to be most intriguing to me.
