Gary,

You take both dimensions and multiply them together to get the square feet of the lot. In it’s simplest form, you use that ‘x’ in the size as a multiplier so you can remember how to do it.

100x60 = 6,000
120x50 = 6,000

Hope that helps you learn out to figure out the square feet when you only have the lot size.

Usually square footage refers to the size of the house, in other words a house that is 30 ft. by 50 ft is 1500 square feet.

Lot size is often measured in feet, and referred to in hundreth of an acre. In other words the 60 X 100 foot lot is 6,000 square feet. Divide that number by 43,560 and that will be hundreths of an acre.
