My advice would be to use the money for what it was intended – replace the siding. The problem you’ll run into (perhaps) is that the house may not pass a WDO inspection. Then, you’ll have to replace it anyway!! Do it now, save yourself the heartache and get a good price on your property with no hassles.

I have a rental with LP siding which I plan to sell in the near future. I recieved about 10K from LP but have not replaced the siding. I did have the siding sealed and repainted. I do not want to replace the siding prior to selling the property.
My question is what is the best way to offer this rental for sale? Any options other than signing the LP payment over to the buyer with a full price offer?
