Lunch with realtor, questions to ask. - Posted by Mark

What are some good questions to ask or ideas to discuss with a good realtor?

Here are some I’ve already thought of:

(get the deed folks)
-looking for nice homes in nice neighborhoods with little equity
-homes 2-4 yrs old with interest rates below 8%.
-expired listings (what kind and why, I don’t know)

What would you offer a realtor for a lead on a house you eventually bought? $500?

What other kind of houses can one buy through a realtor and still make it a good deal for all involved?

Thanks

You may want to start out with :
Do you own any investment properties yourself?
Are you familiar with the creative purchase and financing techniques in use?
If the answer to number two is “no” …check please
Feel the agent out to see what he/she can offer you - if you use them they’ll make money off the deals. You will be hard pressed to find an agent willing to just hand over “leads” for $500 promises - that will come after you’ve developed a relationship with them.
