You can just go to your normal car insurance place and they will usually insure mobile homes too…

Any of the Lonnie Dealers have any recommendations on getting MH Insurance? Do most of the national insurers have insurance that is specific for MHs, or is it simply personal property insurance?
Thanks in advance

find a company that will:
a) put you on the policy as a secured interest/party/additional insured(they use all three of those interchangeably around here)
b) insure the mobile for replacement cost.
On the older homes, i have found that Foremost will insure ANYTHING for ANY value that i set. usually we require our buyers to insure the place for 2 to 3 thousand more than what our note value is because you need to cover your asset as well as have enough left over to clean up in case of a fire, tornado, etc.
the big insurance companies can be finiky when it comes to putting policies on the older “lonnie” style deals. but if you have something in the early 80’s they will generally do it provided the place meets certain requirements they have set forth. if this is the case, go with the big guys…allstate, farmers, etc. they can usually get your buyer a better rate than foremost.
hope this helps.
