All the mobile homes and trailers I have seen have a serial number plate beside the entrance door on the outside of the body. It is usually in the form of a metal sticker . This has been standard since the late 60’s. Is this a Canada only rule?

I have a question for “Lonnie Dealers”. The MH VIN is supposed to be on a tag usually attached to the MH hitch. Many parks insist that the hitch be removed and skirting be attached. Is there an alternate place to look for the VIN? I would like to confirm the VIN on the title but I’m not too inclined to crawl under the MH looking for the hitch and tag.

Try looking for a “Data Plate” usually located inside a closet. (Usually the master bedroom.) It is usually a sticker on the wall. This should give you all the stats of the home itself.
