Where are you at? I don’t know of any MLS Boards that will sell thier books… that is a violation and a big no-no.

Just do a search online… most MLS’s have a searchable index. It’s not as detailed as the actual MLS, but it works.

Does anyone know if MLS books are available to the public or if there’s a way we can ask a realtor to sell one to us?

Thanks for the help.

MLS books? In 1998? Hmmm…

Try the very facility you’re using right now instead.

The World Wide Web. Most MLS boards are searchable on line now. If you’re still using “a book”, then you or your board is behind the time.

Seek and ye shall find. Try http://www.realtor.com for starter, and go from there.

Now, for specific listing info, in detail: See your buyer’s broker. They should be glad to help you with the info you’re looking for.

Pam,

I have found most of the MLS listings on the net. Some even have detailed search engines that are very handy. You may want to try calling a local re agent and asking if there is such a site for your area.

Good luck.

Some local Boards sell will sell their “listings” book to the general public, some will not, some dont even publish a book. Many local Boards have a “sold” book which they will sell to the general public.

the property of the MLS that has them printed. As such, any broker who gives these books away is committing a no-no of the agreement he signed with MLS to get them in the first place.

Why not stay legal? The National website for most MLS organizations is www.realtor.com. Chances are you will find what you need at that site.

Most, if not all MLS boards transmit any new listings from their own database to the website.

Worth a look, anyway.
