Hi everyone,

I have a friend who bought a double wide, 52x28, had the wheels taken off, and set up on her land, which she is buying. She found out today that the quoted insurance of $580 per year has gone to about $1500. The home has a value of about $53,000. What types of companies insure mobile homes, and is mobile home insurance really that much more expensive than home owners?
I need answers quick, since her insurance runs out March 31.
