I live in Calif. and am in the middle of a Divorce Dissolution from my husband who lives in Florida. He purchased a condo two years ago after we were separated and I was asked to sign the mortgage (not the note) for Homestead purposes. I have just now received a request from my husband to sign on Mortgage :For Use with Secured Revolving Credit Agreement, for a substantial amount. Again I’m not on the note, but I wonder what my legal and financial liabilities are if I sign this document.
